Finally getting settled in my new unit. Still some modifications needed to make it more accessible but these things take time. My father (thanks Dad) built me a nice little table as the existing fold-out one made it difficult to get out the back door. It was a rather odd thing to have that table there as well as the door opening into the kitchen rather than against the wall, but it can't be helped and I am able to get around fine in my wheelchair. Hank was born an "Able Bod" in 1951 in Minyip, Victoria, Australia. Moved to dairy farm at Homerton (17k east of Heywood in Victoria's Western District. Bought own farm, went broke (thanks to a bank manager who had no clue about the seasonal aspect of farming). Travelled shearing, fruit picking, tractor driving, bulldozers, trucks. Got Acquired Brain Injury from a severe asthma attack in 1983 and lost most speech and mobility. Rehab 3 years and regained a a lot of mobility.
